ROBERT K. GORMAN It is with great sorrow and grief we announce the passing of Robert, son of Joan Gorman and Al Gorman, Robert was 43 years of age when he passed away on August 17, 2002. After a determined and hard fought battle, Robert succumbed peacefully in his sleep to cancer. He fought so hard to stay alive. Robert was predeceased by his grandparents on both the Gorman and Proctor sides of the family and his uncle Ken. Robert enjoyed life; he loved playing darts and bowling. He will be missed by his friend and companion, Bonnie. The family would like to thank Dr. Rubinger and Joanne as well as all the doctors and nurses at Cancer Care, ward D6, his family doctor Craig Hildahl, and of course Richard, his home care nurse and friend for many years. Honorary pallbearers will be Les Hennessy, Tony Alves, Richard Kozar, Bud Renton, Nadine Anderson and Mandy Gorman. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Garry Legion, 1125 Pembina Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. He is now in a place of refreshment, light and peace.
